The Hanging Coffins Sagada Mountain Province (Philippine)

Being Alone and Single not means your Lonely:Sagada

The Philippine version of Shangri-la, Sagada may not be Utopian but it is definitely remote and exotic. Located 275-km north of Manila (100-km from Baguio) near the provincial capital of Bontoc it's a long day's bus ride starting from the Dangwa bus station in Baguio over the narrow mountain tracks traversing the Cordilleras.

The limestone karst cliffs and caves near town.
A nice place to stay is the St. Joseph's Guest House run by the nuns of an Episcopalian convent. They provide comfortable rooms, some meals, and help locate guides. From Sagada it is a short ride to Bontoc where you can catch a jeepney to Banaue and its famous rice terraces.

At the Bontoc bus stop, visit the gift shop and pick up a few photos of the mountain. Once you reach Banaue, you might want to try hiking to yet another Shangri-la, with fantastic rice terraces, called Batad. More information about the northern provinces can be found in the travel section.

Long road of sagada. Enjoy your day while Ur young, Don't be stranger in your own country..

Top View in Sagada are Stone formation inside the caves, Top Rock with beautiful angles. Good people and of course beautiful Places during summer.
Top Views going to hanging coffins

The Hanging Coffins
The Hanging Coffins of Sagada is definitely one of the most popular tourist spot in Mountain Province. Visiting this old world burial site only involves a short hike but one thing more interesting is you will have to pass by an American influenced cemetery which is located on a hilltop called Echo Valley.

Trekking to the hilltop was a chilly and easy journey but seeing a Globe Telecom Cell site right at the back of the Calvary replica was rather disappointing. After just a short walk down to the place called Echo Valley, the disappointment we had was eased after seeing the magnificent view of Sagada’s rocky village and the jaw-dropping view of the Hanging Coffins

                                                   Some rocks have hanging coffins.

Popular as a destination of foreign adventurers, Sagada features caves that can be explored (even by non-experts) with the aid of local guides, an interesting hike along an underground river, a waterfall and pool to cool off in after a day of exploring, and a quiet serenity only found off the beaten path. The forebears of the current residents practiced an unusual burial practice by hanging and stacking coffins, hewed from tree

                                                             The Hanging Coffins

Things you should not miss when going to SAGADA a yoghurt's house. It is best..the place that you will come back always when you visit SAGADA

Lemon House another one place shouldn't miss. They have lots to offer also, Lemon pie Strawberry pie, Lemon tea, Grass tea,

                                                             In front of Lumiang Cave

Note: Visiting SAGADA best you bring slipper with strap or shoes for entering some cave. bring extra shirt  and be ready to get wet. Extra budget for transport, no ATM at the mountain province and food because of long hour travel, store for snacks is after 4 or 3 hrs travel.

Total Budget: 6,000.00

How To get their BORACAY iSLAND

Boracay Island

White Sand Lots of adventure: My first year visiting boracay is April 2005 with a friends from Epson Philippines Jason. In my whole life leave near in Boracay funny to say I never been their. Just 6hours travel from BarotacNuevo you can reach boracay. When you ask about this place..anyone can say its great and fantastic. You can enjoy, indulge and feel the music, wave and breeze of nature.Nightlife cool you can have margarita tequila any kind of alcohol or rum. Maybe book a island hopping to explore some island near by and enroll some package stuff they offer like kayaking, banana boat ride etc..etc.

I love the place, but much crowded people around during summer and holidays. Lots of tourist visited the place and economics grown but for me I preferred the place will be not much big establishment. A wood and bamboo and nice ambiance is perfect for me. When i first visit the place few people and not crowded. The 5star hotel is countable unlike now..lots of it. Just before they offer some bamboo or nipa hut with good ambiance nice sea shell decor and not.Due of expanded and growth of economics its hard to believe but its true....Yes during rainy days believe it or not its flooded in boracay and the smell is bad..yes very bad..I love the place but..I'm equal..we accept the fact that the place is not much take good care enough.

Best visit Not holidays, not summer vacation and not rainy days and book a head of months if possible.

Holiday,Summer, rainy days. :Crowded and fully book hotel, expensive charge per room. Rainy days its flooded and bad smell.

Manila to Iloilo

If you arrived at Iloilo international airport you, you need to ride a Van or passenger Jeep going to Iloilo City. If your schedule is head to boracay upon arrival. From Airport to Iloilo terminal just ride buss or van going to catiklan, travel estimate 5 or 6.00 hours to reach the Island. Their is lots of possibilities to reach the Island. See below details some possibilities.

Manila to Roxas By Plane.

Book ticket a head on your flights a months of preparing is best and cheapest cost. Arrival from roxas. you can walk round and you can ask some good people around where is the terminal of Van/Buses going to Catiklan.Catiklan is a town of boracay, Arrival in Catiklan port. you can wait the passenger boat going to island. before that you need to pay the environment fee and terminal fee. That is for the improvement and developing of the island.

Manila to Catiklan By Plane.

This is the best way going to boracay. You can book your flight through Cebu Pacific Airline, Philippine Airline, Tiger Airways, and Zest Aird through Air Asia. From Airport of catiklan just ride van around going to port. But most of time some hotel have arrange a pick up on airport.Arrived at terminal port of catiklan then get your terminal fee and environmental fee onwards wait for the boat going to the island.

If planning vacation here. Pls try some place near by also:

Roblon have beautiful islands
Guimaras Island
Estancia Iloilo (Gigantes Island)
Ajuy Iloilo near to explore

The best part are LAND TRAVEL  for the backpackers but much consumed of your TIME.

By LAND to Boracay

Manila to Boracay

Visit Araneta Terminal buss and you can arrange the best trip you want, you can choose any buses pass through catiklan boracay. If you want to explore the Gigantes Island in estancia before going to katiklan. Choose Gasat or Ceres Liner,  route will be Manila to Estancia, or  if you don't want, you can choose Dimple for route Manila to Katiklan,  that buss Manila to Katiklan or Iloilo. A time energy consumer..lol will because your going to jump off the buss ride the ferry and then land travel again and ferry again and land. It takes 22 hours or 24hrs it defends of speed of buss you ride.Estimated transportation is 1,100 or 900 it defends also if its peak season.Sometimes they increase the transportation but normally they should charge only 800.00 or 900.00 pesos only for non aircon busses. For Aircondition buss, they charge 1,300 per head but peak season your lucky if they give you less and cost 1,200.

Note: Boracay Island is crowded during peak season like late Feb,March to May, sometimes if still not raining, still lots of tourist and traveler during month of June. Then December even its raining or cold breeze, still boracay is Tourist and Celebrity destination.
